Setup
Install
A Jira site admin installs Clear Gadgets for Jira from the Atlassian Marketplace.
The app asks for one permission: read Jira work items (read:jira-work).
Add a gadget
Open a dashboard and choose Edit. New dashboards: add a widget. Classic dashboards: Add gadget.
Search for Epic Progress, Estimate vs Actual, Team Load or WIP Limit and add it.
Choose the issues
Issues from: JQL, a saved filter, a project, a board, a sprint, or a project and fix version, depending on the gadget. Filters, boards, sprints and versions are picked from lists loaded from your Jira.
If a JQL query is invalid or a saved filter was deleted, the gadget shows Jira’s error instead of an empty result.
Epic Progress settings
Measure: Issue count or Story points. Issues without an estimate are listed as unestimated, not counted as zero.
Sort: Jira rank, Percent done or Name. Max epics: 25 or 50. Hide completed epics. Optional title.
Estimate vs Actual settings
Group by: Assignee, Epic or Sprint. Show time in: Hours, or Days (the site’s working day).
Include sub-tasks. Hide groups with no estimate and no time logged.
CSV: the gadget shows the table as a copyable CSV block (dashboard gadgets can’t download files). Copy it into a spreadsheet.
Team Load settings
Columns: Open, In progress, Story points, Remaining time, Due this week, Overdue, Oldest open (days).
Week starts on Monday or Sunday. Include sub-tasks. Show unassigned issues.
Optional weekly capacity in story points or hours per person, shown as a percentage bar.
WIP Limit settings
Counts as in progress: any status in the In Progress category, or only the statuses you list.
Default limit per person, optional per-person limits, count sub-tasks.
Only show people over their limit (wallboard mode).
Save
Save the gadget, then save the dashboard. Each viewer sees numbers based on the issues they are allowed to see.
Uninstall and data deletion
Nothing to delete on our side. Jira removes the gadgets from dashboards when the app is uninstalled.
